My Philosophy

The small, fleeting details of life are what most inspire me. Photography is about preserving something as it is in the moment, and bringing out beauty in things that go unnoticed by most.

I've always identified as an artist, and the art of photography is an integral part of who I am. When I was very young I began with photographing sunsets from my backyard and told everyone I was going to be a photographer when I grew up. (Yes, that's completely true.) I believe I inherited the artistic eye from my mom and the technical aptitude from my dad. I studied photography, fine arts, and communications in college; my first photography course was shooting and developing my own black and white film in the darkroom. I worked for a short time as a photography studio assistant, and then in 2011 I decided to start my own business.

A Little About Me

I enjoy the little things and the small moments. I'm a Wisconsin girl, born and raised. I'm a cat mom to Cleo and Dusty (I'd have more cats if I didn't have self-control). I like to surround myself with pretty things and people who make me happy.
