When your photos are ready, we'll meet again for your ordering appointment where I will present your finished gallery of images and you will make your purchase selections. Your order will be hand-delivered once it arrives.
Your portrait session will be fun and all about you! I'll capture several expressions and poses, combining your your wishes with my ideas. I will then carefully review, edit, and retouch the best images from the session.
We will first meet for a consultation where you'll have the chance to see product samples, learn about my process, and preview detailed pricing information. Once booked, we will plan your session by email, by phone, or in person.

Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: I use professional Canon digital cameras and lenses in order to produce the highest quality images possible. Most of my work is done using natural light but I will use supplemental lighting when necessary. Photos are edited on a color-calibrated 4K iMac computer using Adobe software. In addition, I always carry backup equipment, shoot to dual memory cards, and have a redundant data backup system in place.
Q: How much editing and retouching will be done to the photos?
A: My typical editing style includes color correction, lighting adjustments, and cropping/straightening. Minor retouching will be done if necessary, meaning blemishes will be removed or minimized while not altering permanent features. Major retouching can be completed for an additional fee. I take pride in maintaining accurate color and lighting in my photos for a truly timeless look. All editing will be completed by me, as I do not outsource!
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I've been a professional photographer since 2011, but was taking photos with artistic intent as young as age 7. I received formal education in college, completing various courses in photography, art, and digital design. My first class involved shooting and developing my own film in a darkroom.
Q: What should I wear for my session?
A: Every client will be given access to the exclusive Roxanne Elise Photography Style Guide which contains helpful tips for preparing for your session and dressing your best! I always recommend dressing up a bit when having professional portraits taken.
Q: Where will the session take place?
A: Most portrait sessions will take place in outdoor locations of your choice in or around Fond du Lac, or we can travel to a more distant location for a small fee. Indoor locations may be used for certain types of sessions as well. For headshots, I will bring a portable studio backdrop and lighting equipment to your location.
Q: Can I include my pet in my session?
A: Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed, well-behaved, and allowed at the location.
Q: Do you photograph weddings or other types of photography not shown?
A: I am not currently taking commissions for weddings, events, or newborns. I can provide you with trusted referrals instead.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely; my business is legal, registered, and fully insured. I am a professional who is invested in my business and committed to my clients.
Q: How do I book a session?
A: Contact me to set up a consultation. If you decide to book, the session fee will be due to secure your session date on my calendar.
Q: Can you just email me a price list?
A: Due to occasional changes in prices and product offerings, I do not email price lists to those inquiring about my services. A complete price list will be disclosed at the consultation, and a copy will be provided upon booking. The typical investment listed here is what actual clients spend, and is reflective of orders that include a substantial number of products/images. The total amount spent varies greatly, as every client has different needs and desires when it comes to professional photos.
