03. Reveal & Ordering
When your photos are ready, we'll meet again for your ordering appointment where I will present your finished gallery of images and you will make your purchase selections. Your order will be hand-delivered once it arrives.
Your portrait session will be fun and all about you! I'll capture several expressions and poses, combining your your wishes with my creativity. I will then carefully review, edit, and retouch the best images from the session.
We will first meet for a consultation where you'll have the chance to see product samples, learn about my process, and preview detailed pricing information. Once booked, we will plan your session by email, by phone, or in person.

Q: What sets you apart?
A: There are many photographers in the area that you could choose from. A portrait session with Roxanne Elise Photography is about more than just pictures, but rather the entire experience. After all, you're hiring a photographer to capture an important time in your life. You can read about what sets me apart HERE.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: I use professional Canon digital cameras and Canon L-Series lenses, to ensure the highest quality images. In addition, I always carry backup equipment with me. Most of my work is done using natural light, but I will use studio lighting equipment when necessary. I edit photos on a color-calibrated Retina iMac computer using the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
Q: Will you edit the photos?
A: All images that you see will be edited in my signature style, which includes color correction, lighting adjustments, and cropping or straightening. Portraits also include minor retouching, meaning blemishes will be removed or minimized while not altering permanent features. (Major retouching can be completed for a fee as well.) I take pride in maintaining accurate color and lighting in my photos for a more timeless look. All editing will be completed by me; I do not outsource!
Q: Did you go to school for photography?
A: Yes. In college, I completed various courses in photography, art, graphics, and digital design. My first photography class involved shooting and developing my own film in a darkroom.
Q: What should I wear for my session?
A: Every client will be given access to an exclusive "Style Guide" which contains helpful tips for preparing for your session and dressing your best! I always recommend dressing up when having professional portraits taken.
Q: Can I include my pet in my session?
A: Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and well-behaved, and allowed at the location we are using.
Q: Do you photograph weddings? What about newborns?
A: While I have photographed these genres in the past, I am not currently taking commissions for weddings or newborns. I can provide you with referrals to other photographers in the area who specialize in these genres.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely; my business is legal, registered, and fully insured.
Q: How do I book a session?
A: Contact me to set up a consultation. If you decide to book, the session fee will be due to secure your session date on my calendar.
Q: Can you just email me a price list?
A: Due to occasional changes in prices and product offerings, I do not email full price lists to those inquiring about my services. Price lists will be disclosed at the consultation, and a copy will be provided upon booking. The typical investment listed here is what actual clients spend, and is reflective of orders that include a substantial number of products/images. The total amount spent varies greatly, as every client has different needs and desires when it comes to professional photos.
