HEADSHOTS & BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY

The term “headshot” typically refers to a traditional business portrait, usually consisting only of the head and shoulders, but often including anything from the waist up. Headshots are typically done in front of a backdrop. Branding photography, also known as personal branding portraits or business portraits, can include headshot-style images plus a wider variety of other poses, expressions, or backgrounds. They may be taken in a studio, or an environment specific to the industry, and with props and equipment specific to one’s business. For example, a real estate agent may want to pose in a home for their branding session, since this would help tell the story of their professional position. A hair stylist may want portraits taken in their salon, holding their tools.

Absolutely. Part of the photography experience is expert guidance on what to wear and how to style yourself. We will discuss your vision and the intention of your portraits, and I will make suggestions on clothing and accessories based on this.

As part of my standard post-production workflow, I'll preserve your natural look while subtly smoothing skin, removing temporary blemishes, whitening teeth, and taming flyaway hairs. You’ll look like the best version of your authentic self, and the final images will have an overall professional and polished appearance with realistic, natural colors. I am detail-oriented, and I enjoy the artistic side of editing and retouching. And, you can be assured I will never outsource my retouching!

Consistency among members of your team or group is essential for your company’s professional image. I can provide headshots and group photos for your entire organization! Pricing will depend on the group size and what is needed; please reach out for a custom quote. I have worked with several professional organizations in Fond du Lac and the surrounding area.

Purchased digital images from a headshot, branding, or any commercial photography session with Roxanne Elise Photography include a commercial use license. This means you will have the rights to use your images in a business manner, to market yourself and your business. This may include use on your website, social media page, LinkedIn profile, print marketing, online ad, business cards, mailers, billboards, event programs, and more. Regular portrait sessions only include a personal use license.

Yes! I have experience offering all of these. Each requires a slightly different process and level of retouching, and you can be assured I am familiar with what you’ll need.

A branding photography session will be perfect for the variety of photos you need when starting a modeling portfolio, and will allow for commercial use, such as submitting photos to modeling agencies.

Following your session, a curated selections of unedited proofs will be uploaded to a password-protected online gallery. From her you will choose your favorites. With payment of the invoice, I will edit and retouch your selections and delivery them through the online gallery.

I have a fairly quick turnaround time for headshots and branding! These sessions can often be scheduled on shorter notice, calendar-permitting, and I typically can get proofs prepared within a few days of the session and then the final images delivered within a few days of payment of the invoice. While not typical, I once completed a headshot lifecycle for a client within 48 hours from the time of inquiry!

Both headshots and branding photos are designed to provide great visual content for your marketing channels, and to help create familiarity for prospective clients and customers. With the impersonal digital nature of the world today, you want to show the face behind the business.
