When your photos are ready, we'll meet again for your ordering appointment where I will present your finished gallery and you will place your order. Your products will be hand-delivered once they arrive.
During your portrait session I will capture several expressions and poses, combining your wishes with my ideas. I will then carefully review, edit, and expertly retouch the best photos from the session.
We'll first meet for a consultation where you'll have the chance to learn about the process, view products and pricing, and book your session. We will then customize your session by email, by phone, or in person.
Metal products are decorative items designed to be displayed on a mantle, end table, bookshelf, or desk. The image is printed directly onto the metal surface using an emulsion process. Metals are available as a flat or curved piece and are free-standing.
The acrylic block is a decorative item designed to be displayed on a mantle, end table, bookshelf, or desk. The image is attached to the back of a 1" thick clear piece of acrylic, making it free-standing.
Canvas Gallery Wraps are designed as wall art for your home. The image is gicleé printed onto a textured canvas material and coated for protection. The material is then stretched around a 1.5" wooden frame, stapled, and finished with your choice of backing and hanger.
Albums are the perfect way to get all of your favorite photos in one place, and are a true luxury keepsake. You'll be able to select from several options such as album size, number of pages, cover material, gilding, imprinting, and more. Images are printed directly onto the sturdy, lay-flat page spreads, which are finished with a protective coating. The layout is thoughtfully designed by the photographer with your input and approval.

Gift Prints are sold in sets of the same image and are not mounted. These are ideal for giving to family and friends.
Wallet Prints are sold in sets of the same image and come in a metal tin.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: I use professional digital cameras and lenses in order to produce high quality photography. My work is done primarily using natural light but I will use supplemental lighting when necessary. In addition, I always carry backup equipment, record to dual memory cards, and utilize a redundant data storage system.
Q: How much editing and retouching will be done to the photos?
A: All photos presented to you will be treated to standard editing and retouching (color correction, lighting adjustments, teeth whitening, and blemish removal) while not altering permanent features. I take pride in maintaining realistic color and lighting in my photos for a timeless look that will not become outdated as trends change. You can be assured that all editing and retouching will be completed by me, as I do not outsource.
Q: Do you have formal training in photography?
A: Yes; I attended college where I completed various courses in photography, art, and digital design. My first class even involved developing my own film in a darkroom.
Q: What should I wear for my session?
A: Every client will be given access to an exclusive Style Guide which contains helpful tips on styling and preparing for your session. I recommend dressing up more than your everyday look when having professional portraits taken.
Q: How soon should I book my session?
A: For most session types, the preferred season runs July-October. Session dates are typically secured 3-6 months in advance.
Q: Where will the session take place?
A: Most sessions will take place in outdoor locations of your choice in or around Fond du Lac, or we can travel further for an additional fee. Indoor locations may be used for certain types of sessions.
Q: Can I include my pet in my session?
A: Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed, well-behaved, and allowed at the chosen location.
Q: Could I be published in a magazine?
A: Possibly! I occasionally submit photos to photography magazines and blogs (with approval), and I've had work published in print multiple times. The chance of being published is greater if your style fits the aesthetic that the particular publication is seeking. (Submission to publications is not guaranteed.)
Q: Do you photograph weddings and babies?
A: I am not currently taking commissions for weddings, events, or newborns. I can provide you with trusted referrals instead.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely; my business is legal, registered, and fully insured. I am a professional who is invested in my business and committed to my clients.
Q: How do I book a session?
A: We first meet for a consultation, and once you decide to move forward, the session fee will be due to secure your session date on my calendar.
Q: Can you just email me a price list?
A: Due to occasional changes in prices and product offerings, I do not email price lists. All product prices will be disclosed at the consultation. The typical investment listed here is what actual clients spend, and is reflective of orders that include a substantial number of products/photos. This amount varies greatly, as everyone has different desires when it comes to professional portraits.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Cash, personal check, and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are all accepted. You may even extend your order payment with a payment plan through Square Installments (subject to credit approval).
